DOOM (Remake)

The program’s name is DOOM, and it is a top-down, 2D game. The goal of the game is to defeat different demons to purge hell of its sins and liberate humanity from perpetual torment. Manned with only two guns and your wit, you’ll have to get through the hoards of demons who want to drag you down into the depths forever. As of current, you have two weapons, a shotgun, and a pistol. There are three different demons across two different levels to discover including the Cucodemon, the Sniffer, and the Demon Soldier. The Cucodemon tries to get you by shooting balls of plasma at you. The Sniffer seems to exist purely to be an annoyance for you, standing still and acting as an obstacle for you to run into. Finally, the Demon Soldier ⸺A model representation of a commander who’s willing to die for his men⸺ runs at you in hopes of dealing contact damage. You can move around and shoot by aiming with your cursor. Aiming your cursor at an enemy and then shooting will create a bullet projectile that flies at a set speed in the direction you aimed in. Once a bullet hits an enemy, it will take damage. The shotgun deals 50 damage per bullet and the pistol deals 100 damage. Each enemy has 100 health, and therefore will die if shot twice by the shotgun, or once by the pistol. Furthermore, the player will die if they got shot by a Cucodemon 3 times or if they run into any demon 3 times or a combination of the two.
